FIFA President: We are developing a new football game

Recently, Gianni Infantino, the President of FIFA, announced that the organization is working with new partners to develop a "video game." This new game will showcase the FIFA brand, which Electronic Arts lost in 2022.
For 30 years, Electronic Arts worked on the FIFA series, developing top-tier football games that were well-received worldwide. However, from 2023 onwards, the company abandoned the FIFA name and adopted the EA Sports FC brand. In a bold statement, Gianni Infantino said:
"We will create a new game. When gamers play a football simulator, they should think of the FIFA name. It can't be called anything else. We are developing a new version of FIFA with new partners, and it will undoubtedly be the best. So get ready for the new FIFA game."

New Partners on the Horizon

Infantino confirmed that FIFA is working with new partners to develop a fresh series, but no one knows which studio will create this game. Rumors suggest that 2K might be the new collaborator, although this has yet to be officially confirmed. Currently, there is little competition in the football simulator market.

Shifting Market Dynamics

After the rebranding, almost all audiences have shifted from FIFA to EA Sports FC. Konami remains in the market with its eFootball series. Infantino praised the yet-to-be-announced game, saying it would be "the best" because it aligns with everything they do at FIFA.
